There’s a boy who’s lost in a forgotten era

on a never ending errand

in search of a certain woman.

There’s a girl who’s lost in a sea of denial

Skinned knees and sighs

Sad tales and scars

Searching for a certain man.

There’s a boy whose knees wobble

on patched paths not taken.

Whose dreams stumble

on past pranks not forgotten.

His heart racing on blue lines

reaching out for her rare smiles.

There’s a girl whose speech tumble

over desires unrealistic.

Whose smiles mumble

words not spoken.

Her heart racing on pink lines

reaching out for his blue lies.

There’s a boy

A blue boy.

There’s a girl

Together they once fit

like two pieces of charred hearts

forming a mosaic of black art.

Fake smiles

Camera shutters

Blue boy beams brighter
