The Love in Vogue
All in the name of love
her body is never hers
but under his full control
that he could thrust in and out
her sweet ocean, even if
unwilling to her
Yet she carries him on the head
like my old lady’s ‘gele’ (head-tie)
shower praises on his name
over extravagant things he’s got her
though he got more, even more
from her body, such a shame
And he would tag her
a slut amidst his fellows
wash her dirty linen with peers
twinkle his nose in deceit
each time he says he loves her
from a heart that lies in his mouth
She would go the mile
to feed the world about her man
over this and that he’s got her
even though they are being replaced
with emotional torture and pains
she can’t share but bare alone
Here is a food for thought for thee
who still hopefully believe that
a man that gives you just cash
Is the right “He” for you
Forget not.. “Not everything you enjoy
Is good for you”
Get out of that world
Show him you’ve got words
Tell him you know your worth
falling for him isn’t your fault
Move on! get off that discomfort
For your blessings come forth
