POEM 129: FOR OPEOLUWA

Here’s a glass of fine wine
Brewed from my heart of hearts.
Let’s drink to our fill
Until our hearts together we feel.
Come slip your fingers into mine
And let our bodies intertwine.
Let nothing in between you and me
Deny you a piece of me.
Winter is near and cold it becomes
In you, my lady I will thrust.
I know they think it’s just a poem
But you Opeoluwa knows it’s more than a poem.
