POEM 79: GODLIKE

Sometimes I feel like a cloud on the run.

I circle the earth’s circumference
running away from the past.
But in the end
I still pour out the whole of me on pursuits present.
Like rain I respond to the gravitational pull of patched dreams,
Raining my sweat, tears, heart again
on the deserving and undeserving.
