POEM 211:
HOW A SHY LAD EXPRESSES LOVE IN TEN VERSES

i.
to sit beside you on a lush lawn and in silence
embrace your essence

ii.
to shut my eyes in all blindness
and drink in the ebony of your skin

iii.
to kick off everything shyness in all nakedness
and bare my heart on the lines of your smiles

iv.
to sit calm until you come
in contact with my heartbeat

v.
to stare and whisper endearments
with long longing stares

vi.
to imagine your stare is glue
and get stuck in a lie so true.

vii.
to mumble random scattered words
like rainfall in Mars

viii.
to sit legs crossed
and hope my unspoken words find your ears

ix.
to hope this series don’t end
until your cistern breaks into a goodbye

x.
to leave me speechless with love
until I sing in lines in verses
