POEM 225: LOVE?
because, feminine?
you’re toxic
you deplete his ozone layer with hurtful words
you nag dawn to dusk like a diarrheic parrot

he thought you were ascorbic
look how your presence makes him sick

he loves you and would rather stay than take a walk
love is a tale of sour sweetness.

because, masculine?

you are a raging volcano
that erupt at every little snap

while good men send roses to their dames
you throw a punch at her waist

she thought you were her aphrodisiac
look how your presence kills her smile

she loves you and would rather stay than take a walk
love is a tale of many brokenness
