may you never lose
your sense of wonder
and cease not into beautiful imaginations wander
as you wander
may you find joy here and yonder

may you hold on to your sense of humor
and with it brighten the lives
of everyone

may you go beyond ordinary goals,
discover extraordinary results,
silence stereotypes and dislodge abnormal norms

may you keep on trying to reach for your stars,
perhaps you’d fall on the moon
and silvery lights illumine

may you never forget how wonderful you are
and that you’re unique, like everyone else

may you always be patient
with the problems of life,
and know that heavy clouds will eventually
give way to the sunlight of the joy
that comes with dawn

may you be rewarded with friendships not seasonal,
and with love not conditional

may you face challenges with renewed faith,
meet every day with a knowing smile
recognize every golden opportunity,
and dance your way through storms

may your source of income be multifaceted
so that your needs are met
with little or no financial stress

may you place more value,
not on wealth material,
but on friends and family,
they are your real wealth;
don’t ever forget

may your search for solitude
bring peace of mind and harmony with the universe

may you discover that the love you crave for
was within you, waiting in line, all along

may you be strong enough
when the chips are down,
to grow feathers your hope
and keep your dreams afloat

may you always be gentle enough to understand
that slow and steady isn’t misfortune

may you know that yesterday is gone,
that today is all you’ve got
and tomorrow is just a wish,
so make good memories
that you’d fall back to when it turns ugly

may you always remember,
each step along the way
that though you feel all alone
you are loved more than words
can say
and you belong here

and may you find joy, at last
