POEM 215: PERMIT ME TO PLAY ON WORDS
first off, may i introduce myself
i am Stefn Sylvester Anyatonwu
the sun you can never woo

i write stuff about things and things about stuff
permit me to play on words

i am the sound of silence in bars of time

i am the hell-thee-worn
that answers every ‘WHO?’

i am the oat that nail the high and lofty
to the low and trifty

i am the sun of my father
that noks shadows off the bane-way river

i am the uneven eyeliner on the face of life
masking your tiers of pain with cost-make-stick smiles
that fade with the knight

i am Stefn
just the boy whose pen-is stiffen-ed
