30, a collection of poems by Jaachi Anyatonwu banner

I walk
Trying to hard to be brave
I dread to blink
lest they see my tears.
I sneak
Through their raised brows
I dare not blink
Lest they see my fears
That was then
Fast forward to now
Grey glasses
Green grasses
Glasses that shine
Now mask my tears with glittering stars
Smiling faces
now greet me on every side
Googly glasses
Dark glasses in the sunshine
I can now see clearer
because I’ve got mine.
