POEM 320: WHAT IF?

What if my mission is to disturb the comforted
and comfort the disturbed?

What if my mission is to sadden the happy

and excite the sad?

What if my mission is to relieve the burdened

and burden the relieved?

What if my mission is to remember the forgotten

and forget the remembered!

What if my mission is to love the unloved

and unloved the loved?

What if my mission is to free the enslaved

and enslave the free?

What if I am the reverse of everything?

What if?
