Ikike Arts: Literature and Art Brand

I developed a responsive website for Ikike Arts, a dynamic arts and literature brand that promotes African culture and stories.

A SUMMARY OF THIS PROJECT

Ikike Arts is a full WordPress redesign and optimization project for a contemporary African literary brand, crafted to spotlight its books, podcasts, prizes, and community offerings in a clean, immersive way.

Project focus
The project involved designing a responsive, content-forward homepage that clearly communicates Ikike Arts’ mission of “empowering African voices” while guiding visitors to key actions like exploring the bookstore, joining the fellowship, and submitting work. The layout balances bold typography, curated imagery, and intuitive navigation to serve writers, readers, and partners across the Ikike Books, Poemify Podcast, and literary prizes ecosystem.

Design and experience
The interface was structured to highlight featured content such as latest blog posts, podcast episodes, and community initiatives, ensuring visitors can quickly discover reviews, book alerts, and articles. Visual sections for offerings, prizes, and community calls-to-action were organized to tell a cohesive brand story and make the publishing and fellowship pathways easy to understand and engage with.

Technical implementation
Built on WordPress, the project included configuring and refining page templates, integrating external sections like the books subdomain, and ensuring the site remains easy for the Ikike team to update as new content and campaigns go live. The result is a scalable, brand-aligned platform that supports ongoing content publishing, podcast promotion, and community growth for Ikike Arts
